Promote Your Business: DIY Video Webinar

Promote Your Business with a DIY Video!

Join us on Friday, May 1st, at 3:00 - 4:30 pm to hear how to create a marketing video using your smartphone and web conferencing.  Brookline Interactive Group Experts will teach basic technology and storytelling techniques.  You'll learn how to tell a compelling, concise story with your audience in mind - under normal circumstances and throughout the pandemic.

Presenting our Panelists:

Kathy Bisbee, Brookline Interactive Group Executive Director

Kathy Bisbee is the executive director of Brookline Interactive Group (BIG) where she develops community engagement and education programs that train, document, and promote authentic local stories across multiple media platforms. Kathy is currently a research fellow at the MIT Open Documentary Lab, and her fieldwork on community-based creativity and public access was featured this year in Ms. Magazine. She is a communications strategist, and an award-winning traditional and immersive documentary filmmaker, with a background in the tech sector, small business marketing, and nonprofit adaptive change management. More can be found at: www.linkedin.com/kathybisbee.

Ann Theis, BIG Director of Programs

Community-based Media has been an intrinsic part of Ann’s life ever since she attended Antioch College to become a documentary filmmaker. Discovering the importance of community media under pioneers in the field, she learned that teaching people to express their own voice was more important than merely documenting them. Now at BIG, she is managing educational programming for adults and youth, intern management, community outreach, grant-writing, and reporting. She is the 2019 recipient of the Dirk Koning - George Stoney Award for Humanistic Communication.

Corbin Riedel, BIG Assistant Executive Director

Wanting to be a director at an early age and raised in the community media world, he parlayed his love of movies and media into his desire to create and help others do the same. A self-professed video nerd with over twelve years experience in the media field, Corbin conducts a lot of the training programs at BIG, with everything from podcasting, editing, cell phone filmmaking and studio production to the Job Training program that gives high school students and underserved teens the opportunity to learn important job skills. In addition to training, Corbin oversees operations and maintenance, coordinates productions and instructs members on the operation of the equipment.
