First Light - Holiday Celebration 2018
Join us to jump start the Holidays! Enjoy free family-friendly performances, refreshments, and giveaways hosted by local businesses.
Participants to date Include:
Fire Opal - Stop in between 5:30-7:30 to enjoy Sweet Wines and Filthy Rich Artisan Chocolates.
Gateway Arts - All ages can participate in an evening of ornament decorating! At the end of the night, you get to take home a one-of-a-kind ornament! Additionally, you can shop at the Gateway Store until 8:00 pm.
Highrock Church - Live music is available from 6-7pm, beer tasting from 6-8pm.
The Golden Chickpea - Ornament decorations from 6:15-7:45pm, Celtic Singer, Katie McD, will perform a children's set at 6:30pm.
Wild Goose Chase - Live entertainment with Pianist Sam Taber and refreshments from 5-8pm
Curds and Co. - We will be offering tastings all night (5-8pm) and glow-in-the-dark bracelets for the first 100 kids.
Olive Connection - Olive oil and vinegar tasting from 5-8pm.
Capital One - host a Spin-The-Wheel giving guests the chance to win Capital One Swag, face painter, balloon artist and treats!
Chobee Hoy Group Compass - 5-6:30 Benjamin The Clown, 6:30-7:30 The Clark Page Project playing music from the 80’s and 90’s.
Viking Sports - Viking is excited to display their brand of fun during the First Light celebration through pop up Ninja Warrior courses in Coolidge Corner and Brookline Village. These cold weather mobile Ninja Warrior courses are geared towards families, with each courses featuring a mix of agility, balance, and speed obstacles.
Unlimited Sotheby's - Balloon Artist from 5-7:00pm, goodies for the kids
Fairway Independent Mortgage Corp. - dog treats
Serenade Chocolatier - Stop in for a sample of peppermint bark between 5-7pm
Knight Moves Cafe - Live music from 5-8pm
Henry Bear's Park - Craft activity: decorate paper lanterns from 5-7pm
Best Burger Bar - Best Burger Bar will be offering a promotion to families during First Light from 5-8pm. With every purchase of an adult entree (burger, sandwich, etc.) you will get 1 kid entree free.
Eureka! Games and Puzzels - Viking Sports Pop Up Ninja Warrior Course nextdoor
Puppet Showplace Theater - Puppet Showplace will host free brief sneak previews of puppetry performances of new works from our Incubator program every half hour at the theater. You can also join us on Webster Place for a giant puppetry experience with our light up, interactive The Swishy Fishies! The Puppet Showplace Theater's First Light performance is made possible with support from Mass Cultural Council.

Boston School of Boabom - Face painting from 5:00-7:30 and free Kids Boabom Classes 5:00-7:00
Paris Creperie - Visit between 5-8pm to enjoy free Nutella hot chocolate and a prize wheel to win coupons or gift cards
Oath Pizza - Live music 5-8
Brookline Booksmith - 5:30-7:30 BMS performance
Framers Workshop - Stop inside the Framers' Workshop, we'll be taking photos and giving them away with fun mats!
Rifrullo Cafe - 5-7pm: Scott Pittman Trio, free Hot chocolate, chocolate chip cookies, and brownies. Offering for pick up: Rifrullo Roasted Spatchcock Chickens with vinegar potatoes and Gnocchi Bolognese.
Tiny Hanger - Face painting from 5-8pm.
Art with Amy - "Words Matter" - Create poetry bags and jars from 6-8pm.
Brookline Open Studios - This pop-up exhibit features a selection of work by Brookline Open Studios artists at the Courtyard Marriott. Meet, mingle, and view art with your community's many talented artists! Light refreshments provided. Brookline Open Studios is a fiscally sponsored project of the Brookline Arts Center. 5-8pm.
Brookline Bank - Meet your town government department heads at Brookline Bank during First Light! 5:00-5:30: Superintendent Andrew Bott, Brookline School Department, 5:30-6:00: Chief Sullivan, Brookline Fire Department, 6:00-6:30: Chief Lipson, Brookline Police Department, 6:30-7:00: Andrew Pappastergion, Brookline Department of Public Works.
Brookline Courtyard by Marriott - Children's choir from the British International School will be coming to sing around 5:15. BHS will sing around 6:00 to 7:00. We will have cookie decorating and hot chocolate from 5 to 8 and Brookline Open Studios will have art, such as Fine Creations Jewelry, displayed from 5 to 8 as well!
The Makery - Activities begin at 6:00pm. 7:00-7:30pm, BHS' Perfect Pitch acapella group, 7:30-9:00, Local Singer-Songwriter Spotlight (open mic style), Making project in the workshop, light refreshments.
Tatte Bakery & Cafe - The opportunity to win a Tatte Gift Set
