Course 4: Attract Customers with Best Marketing Practices and PR, Sue Jung Grant and Amy Shanler
Part One: Learn to analyze market challenges and opportunities to implement a successful and sustainable marketing mix, and to cultivate customer intimacy.
Part Two: In this two-part workshop focused on public relations, you will learn the secrets to social media success and how to tap into the power of reporters and influencers to reach more people.
Course 5: Cybersecurity, Kelley Misata
Looking at your business through the lens of cyber and information security can immediately feel overwhelming, confusing, and often too technical to figure out where to start. The Cybersecurity Workshop is a four-part series designed specifically for small businesses to begin improving cybersecurity using national standards (NIST Cybersecurity Framework) re-purposed in everyday language. With a hands-on approach to assessing where your business measures against cybersecurity best practices, we will explore practical cybersecurity risks and provide practical ways to integrate cybersecurity as a part of business operations.

Patricia Hambrick
Patricia Hambrick began teaching marketing and branding to MBA students at Boston University after running marketing organizations for companies such as Reebok, L'Oreal and many others. She is known as an expert on Branding, having created unique brand positionings for large companies as well as start ups and early stage such as Bag Borrow or Steal, in what the NYT called Netflix for high end handbags.

Sue Jung Grant
With two decades of experience teaching at multiple levels: undergraduate, masters, MBA, PhD, and executive. Sue supports students, leaders and teams in their understanding of marketing strategy, growth and the consumer connection. Her research, which has been published in top-tier journals, investigates consumers' social and cognitive psychological processes in persuasive communications. As a marketing professor at BU's Questrom School of Business, Sue has led curriculum innovation, introducing new courses, new techniques and new programs. She earned a PhD in consumer psychology and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor's in English literature from the University of Pennsylvania. Learn More

Amy Shanler
Amy Pavel Shanler has 25 years of experience managing communications activities for multiple organizations and industries, including retail, technology, business, health care, and entertainment. Most recently, she has been co-directing the award-winning PRLab at Boston University, the nation?s longest-running, student-led public relations agency, named "Best Training/Education Program" by PR News Agency Elite awards in 2018.

A finalist for Cybersecurity Woman of the Year (2021), Dr. Kelley Misata is Founder and Chief Trailblazer of Sightline Security, Executive Director of OISF (Suricata), and former Director of Communication of the Tor Project - a senior executive with 15+ years of experience in cyber and information security operations, assessments, network security, open-source technologies, marketing, and communications.
Expert in bridging gaps between technical and non-technical audiences in cybersecurity conversations and initiatives. Passionate speaker, advocate, and leader in information security, open-source communities, responsible digital citizenship, cyberstalking, and privacy. A business-minded researcher with groundbreaking research in the cybersecurity of nonprofits. Dr. Misata holds a Ph.D. in Information Security from Purdue University, an MBA, and a BS in Marketing.
